Park Place is a condominium development on a 4.5-acre site nestled within the Desa Park City Township in Kuala Lumpur. It benefits from a prime location beside Pond 2 – a lively commercial and recreation park, and SAFA residences, a landed terrace housing scheme. It also sits adjacent to Plaza Arkadia, a vibrant mixed-use development, and directly opposite Central Park. The development comprises a total of 570 units distributed between three wings of a 53-storey tower. The tower sits directly on the ground and is served by an independent multi-level podium car park. These are connected by pedestrian bridges located on various floors.

Visitors to the development are greeted by a large span entrance gateway, beneath which the guardhouse is located. A gently meandering road takes visitors to a drop-off area gracefully buffered by lush landscaping. The drop-off area is located in 1 of the 3 grand, wing-shaped lobbies. The same access road branches out to lead visitors directly to the podium parking block.

The entrance lobby takes visitors to the secured tower core. From there, they can access the various floors within the building. This ground-floor lobby comprises swathes of generous, tall lounges that open onto the landscaped grounds.

Open spaces and greens are designed to blend seamlessly with the building. The landscape design features the diversity of plant life and lends the development its name. This generosity of green space is echoed by the extensive variety of wet and dry recreational activities on the facilities deck. The facilities deck is a combination of interweaving organic-shaped sunken planter boxes, a generous lap pool, open communal spaces, BBQ areas, a multipurpose hall, a gymnasium, and changing facilities.

The tower form is distinctive with three wings sprouting from a central core. The “Y”-shaped floor plans accommodate 11 units on every level. This plan form is surprisingly efficient and presents a unique aesthetic identity for the building all at once. The units are configured to resemble Semi-Ds in the sky. They have good views on all sides, with a predominantly green backdrop of the private grounds and nearby parks. Despite being high up, the upper units still feel grounded thanks to the 2-storey sky garden with green spaces and facilities. This voluminous sky garden also provides sweeping views of the surrounding parkland and the KL city skyline.

The façade is expressed with shaped ‘V’ profile fins and ledges defining the general language of the building. It acts as architectural punctuation in the tower, providing visual respite. Each of the three wings is framed by vertical fins and horizontal ledges, creating a more refined gesture and backdrop for the neighbouring developments. The tower is topped off by a roof crown comprising layers of ‘V’ profile ledges which complete the building composition.
