Designed to impress: that is the impetus behind Trinity Pentamont, a 35-storey residential tower atop a 7-storey podium car park along Jalan Kiara 5 in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. It’s a tall order, considering its luxurious locale and premium address in the upscale township of Mont Kiara. Attention to detail helps it to stand out from the slew of new high-rises on the block.

Even the unit sizes were intentionally designed to be larger than those offered by neighbouring developments, differentiating Trinity Pentamont from the onset. The tower, comprising 330 residential units ranging between 1,342 and 4,028 square feet, is capped by six duplex penthouse units that enjoy uninterrupted views towards Kepong and Bukit Damansara. A mixture of dual-key, nuclear-family, and duplex units ensures that the development caters to a wide range of demographics. Alternating balcony designs create exciting variations on the facade. At typical floors, the staggered tower block splits the floor plate into two wings containing 5 units each, boosting the exclusivity of the development.

The staggered layout carries down to the podium facilities floor, creating two distinct open zones. A dry zone comprises a gymnasium, children’s playground, yoga deck, library, and a cantilever deck overlooking the future Jalan Kiara 5, while a wet zone with several pools, a jacuzzi, and perimeter planting flank the eastern side of the tower.

With respect to its naturally sloped terrain, part of Trinity Pentamont’s car park floors are embedded on the side of its sloped terrain, minimising any cut and fill and reducing the visual bulk of the podium from the street. A brace of aluminium boxed louvres partially shields the car park from view. Parting above the drop-off, it reveals a three-storey suspended feature arch that billows above the driveway. At night, the arch lights up from within, shining through aluminium perforated panels like a lantern.

The feature arch serves as a beacon for Trinity Pentamont’s streetscape-friendly ground floor, which is replete with granite flooring, travertine tiles, book-matched marble walls, and stainless-steel columns. Nine free-standing walls, accompanied by shrubs, sit along the boundary, ensuring visual privacy from neighbouring houses.

In time, Trinity Pentamont will be straddled by two roads an enlarged Jalan Kiara 3 and a new Jalan Kiara 5 giving it convenient means of access to the SPRINT and North-South Expressways. Its future main entrance, facing Jalan Kiara 5, has a dedicated pedestrian walkway that leads directly into the main lobby. Visitors are greeted by a series of arches that lead them across a reflective-pond-cum-cascade-water-feature. The elevated position affords them views of nest-like treehouses and a secluded, lush, meandering landscaped area two storeys below them, with a waterfall and pond in the background.

From there, visitors may choose to proceed to the apartment lobby or head down to the landscaped area via an open staircase or an exclusive outdoor lift. That, too, is intentional: the combination of a gourmet kitchen, an outdoor theatre, a campfire pit, teepee-style tents, and a shallow pool, creates a space residents may rent for social events without compromising the sanctity of their homes.

The experience within it, with its fluid hardscape, lush softscape, and a pair of tall, greenery-clad treehouses two storeys high, aims to mimic a natural landscape and takes advantage of the site’s existing terrain. By curating detailed features that are premium, private, yet warm and welcoming, Trinity Pentamont achieves a new standard for luxurious living.
