This project came from a long period of planning, studying, and careful thinking. From the start, I wanted to explore how architecture could be made more affordable while still being meaningful and impressive. My goal was to prove that good design does not need to be expensive. Instead, it can come from simple ideas, smart decisions, and an honest approach to materials and space.
The project aims to create a sense of authenticity. I wanted the spaces to feel genuine, simple, and unpretentious.
Rather than using decorative elements, the design focuses on clear proportions, thoughtful details, and honest materials. Every part of the building was planned with purpose-how a wall meets the floor, how light enters a room, and how each space connects to the next. The intention was to make the architecture feel natural, calm, and comfortable without relying on luxury.
Rough textures, deep shadows, and heavy forms play an important role in shaping the atmosphere. These choices were made to create a feeling of groundedness and quiet reflection. As sunlight moves across the building throughout the day, the surfaces shift in appearance, giving the spaces a changing but peaceful character. This simple interaction between light and texture becomes one of the building’s strongest features.
The façade takes inspiration from Brutalist architecture, known for its bold shapes, strong shadows, and raw, honest expression. I wanted the façade to reflect these ideas-to feel solid, confident, and straightforward. Its geometry creates shadows that change with the time of day, so the building never looks the same. In the morning, it feels soft, at midday more defined, and in the evening calm and quiet.The entire building is made from rough, exposed concrete and strong geometric forms. I chose to leave the concrete unfinished so its natural texture and imperfections remain visible. This highlights the material’s honesty and gives the building a simple, direct identity. Nothing is hidden; the structure shows exactly what it is.
Through this approach, the project hopes to show that architecture can be impactful without being expensive. With clear ideas, honest materials, and thoughtful design, even a simple building can feel meaningful, expressive, and deeply connected to its place.
