Nestled within a quiet housing enclave along Jalan Setia Bakti, GDP Campus occupies a 0.344-acre site with a plot ratio of 1:3.45. Overlooking the ‘padang’ of Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Damansara, the location evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminding us of simpler times filled with curiosity, discovery, and boundless imagination. Inspired by that spirit, the name “Campus” reflects our core philosophy: a continuous pursuit of learning, innovation, and collaboration that transcends the conventional boundaries of architecture.

At GDP Campus, we do more than design spaces — we shape possibilities. Our office is conceived as a creative hub where ideas flourish, grounded in a thoughtful architectural language that balances form, function, and sustainability. The building is defined by an exposed concrete core strategically located on the west-facing façade to provide shading and thermal mass. On the east, alternating concrete and double-glazed panels optimise natural lighting while framing expansive views, blending environmental sensitivity with design clarity.

The building stands out in a predominantly low-rise residential neighbourhood, highlighting a deliberate juxtaposition between the vertical office block and the surrounding horizontal sprawl. Strategically placed on a corner lot, it maximises views while integrating with the green landscape and urban skyline beyond.

Spanning five floors above a car park podium, the office features a fluid, open-plan studio layout. Expansive vertical voids, mezzanine levels, and outdoor garden terraces create a dynamic spatial experience that fosters collaboration and visual connectivity. Three distinct levels are connected through continuous motion, encouraging interaction across diverse teams and disciplines.

The interior embraces raw, fair-faced finishes that celebrate material honesty. These finishes not only reduce maintenance costs but also convey a timeless, durable character that aligns with our ethos of authenticity. Minimal, utilitarian, and elegant, the office design encourages creative focus and interaction, creating a vibrant yet disciplined environment.

Central to the building’s function is the core that faces the services lane. Acting as both a vertical circulation hub and service spine, it connects all floors efficiently while enabling easy access for maintenance and utilities. Supporting the creative process are several dedicated facilities: a canteen, model-making room, sick bay, material library, and printing room—all carefully tailored to enhance productivity and support wellness.

Spatial open-plan layout with high ceilings and column-free zones facilitating flexible use, ideal for exhibitions. Exposed concrete ceilings, wood herringbone flooring, and large glazed panels create a raw-yet-warm modern interior

A highlight of the building is the double-volume gallery on Level 4, designed as a flexible platform for exhibitions, forums, and collaborative events. This creative platform is a bridge between generations, welcoming local talents, clients, and creatives alike. On Level 6, a serene open terrace garden promotes relaxation and thoughtful conversation, serving as a haven for collaborative thinking.

At the building’s main drop-off point, “The Testing Ground” offers an inviting space for informal dialogue and spontaneous interaction among colleagues, clients, and visitors. On the lower ground level, a dedicated circular prayer hall offers a cleanliness and spiritual calm environment for worship and reflection. Its design features a pivoted wooden wall with intricate geometric carvings, dividing male and female sections with privacy and flexibility.

Crowning the building, photovoltaic panels on the roof—the “fifth façade”—demonstrate our commitment to sustainable energy and environmental stewardship. Externally, GDP Campus blends seamlessly into its residential surroundings, standing as a quiet yet confident statement of progressive design. As both a workplace and a platform for learning, GDP Campus reflects our belief in architecture’s power to inspire, connect, and evolve with its community.

A serene and contemplative interior designed for prayer, with a strong emphasis on calmness and intimacy. The space is defined by warm timber finishes and gentle curves that guide movement toward the qibla wall. A soft, plush carpet demarcates the prayer area, while a carved wooden screen with traditional Islamic geometric patterns provides visual and spatial separation
Lush vertical greenery and potted tropical plants soften the concrete elements and enhance biophilic engagement. The trellis and shading screen above filter natural light, creating dynamic shadow patterns that shift throughout the day
An open-plan dining/canteen area designed as a collaborative space, featuring full-height glazing for panoramic city views and ample natural light, supporting staff facilities in a modern, bright, and engaging manner
This semi-outdoor area features a circular capsule office floor that provides partial shelter, supported by a central column. The space promotes informal meetings and community interaction with built-in seating surrounding a circular table
