The Endau-Mersing Fish Processing Park (EMFPP) development in Endau, Johor, aims to establish a comprehensive fish processing hub spanning 10 acres. This project, commissioned by the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC), utilises 2.85 acres of Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan Malaysia (LKIM) land and 7 acres of Federal Land Commissioner (FLC) land. The plan involves constructing a semi-D and terrace factory, implementing a unique concept of organising functions based on site conditions and context, and transforming the EMFPP into an efficient one-stop centre for fish processing.
“The Fish Processing project derives its design inspiration from the streamlined efficiency of fish anatomy, symbolising cohesion and progress.By aligning its layout and structure with the functional needs of processing facilities, the park serves as a central hub for nearby fisheries, fostering collaboration and growth. Through its innovative approach, the park not only optimises operations but also promotes sustainability within the industry, setting a new standard for industrial architecture.”
