Nestled along Pudu’s high street, the design of Lucentia Residences aims to rejuvenate the city amidst the convergence of retail malls, restaurants, offices and hotels. Lucentia Residences is a new community living solution created for those seeking retreat and escape from the dense city fabric. Sensitive to its surroundings the residential towers are strategically tucked away from the main street allowing a sense of privacy that intrigues curiosity. The design focuses on place-making, human experiences, material touch and feels and articulation of architectural elements, making it a distinct addition to the KL City skyline. It offers the luxuries of having one’s sense of freedom, privacy and calmness in seclusion within the residences albeit being in the centre of the hustle and bustle of KL City centre.
Arrival at Lucentia Residences is gradually unravelled by a meandering road flanked by lush greeneries to welcome urban dwellers home. The overall design indulged residents with a libe rated sense of retreat in seclusion albeit in its hectic context. This is the rare luxury Lucentia Residences offers, a peaceful respite within the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur, reclaiming the glory of the old town of Pudu. The meandering entry road slows down the traffic flow, guided by lush greens towards theembracing entrance gateway entering the serene realm of the residential building. A careful selection of materials, textures, patterns and a warm colour palette creates a familiar and welcoming atmosphere. The contrasting colours of the facade and the alternating rhythm of the fins contribute to the articulated impression of its appearance.
Designed for compact yet comfortable urban living, Lucentia Residences comprises 668 homes ranging from 450 sqftto 880 sqftin size. The units were thoughtfully planned to make full use of the floor area, offering large view openings for ventilation and natural light, and ample storage spaces. Furthermore, the residences take advantage of their location with optimized views of the cityscape.
The towers stand tall at 35 storeys and 47 storeys with horizontal connections at the podium and sky deck communal facilities level. At the sky-deck level, various programs have been established to augment the experience of living in the sky. A playful composition of light and shadow is created through a series of screens, lanterns, canopies, lounges, and cabanas, enhancing the spatial quality of the area and promoting socialization and active engagement. A sculptural feature spiral staircase vertically bridges and connects the two-storey sky facilities. Inspired by the skeletal structure of a lantern, this triple-volume self-supporting spiral staircase graces the central atrium.
